Some U.S. High Court Justices
Are sounding daft upon their perch,
Debating plus and minuses
Of health reform that leaves a smirch:
Is mandating a policy
Like obligating broccoli?
Scalia asked it questioning
The law by which each one must buy
Insurance and so doing bring
The cost in line, not leave sky high
When those with coverage pay the share
Of uninsured folks’ ER care.
We pay a tax for Medicare.
Would Justices want it gone, too?
To be consistent, they might dare,
If so, grandparents, bid adieu.
And you on disabilities?
