How on earth do parents reason
Kids should skip swine-flu vaccines?
H1N1’s now in season,
Relative of 1918’s.
U.S. stats have reached a million;
Last six months, a thousand died.
Cousin, granted, not outdone
Left 40 million killed worldwide.
On our shores, six hundred thousand
Died— pandemic gaining speed.
Unlike nowadays, out-of-hand,
No vaccine could yet succeed.
Proven, though, today’s is tested.
Mom and Dad should get it quick.
If their brains are too arrested,
Let them jolly well get sick.
Children need to get it faster
So do babies six months old.
Common sense averts disaster
When dumb judgment’s not controlled.
