Tea and Sociopathy

As namesakes, these are barely such:
Those long ago threw overboard
The tea the British taxed too much.
Today’s Tea Partyers afford
A glimpse of hopefuls unchagrined
Who toss their chances to the wind.

In Delaware, the GOP,
As candidate for senator,
Chose someone in its primary
The IRS had filed for
Back taxes. Mortgagers as well
Forclosure brought. She had to sell.

In Colorado, candidate
Ken Buck said one of his appeals,
Unlike the Democrat (her fate!)
He doesn’t have to “wear high heels.”
His cowboy boots, which more befit,
Have on them— his words— “real bullshit.”

Nevada has a bigger wrangle.
Senate Leader Harry Reid
Is facing irate Sharron Angle.
Hurting girls has got her teed
So much she wants “to take him out”
And says that guns can lend some clout.

The Partyers would like to win.
At least their declaration’s so.
I reckon sometimes, though, within
A loser complex brings them low.
When cryptically they shoot their foot,
Election races go kaput.
