Murdoch's Schlock

Interrogated if he knew
About his tabloids’ hacking, “Nope!”
Was what he told an M.P. who
Might wonder, “Are you Catholic, Pope?”
If Murdoch by some chance knew not,
The more his British rags are rot.

It was, he said, his humblest day
Though haughtily he shared no blame.
With underlings was where it lay,
He testified, as if to claim
Some high ground where he would restrict
The fellow scumbags whom he’d picked.

And yet he feels that he’d be best
At cleaning up the tawdry mess.
The germfree answer? He’d divest
His News Corp. and its rank bs.
The Wall Street Journal should be free
Of such a liability.
