Cracks in China

Beijing’s one-China policy
Has gone kablooey from within.
The Politburo should foresee
Taiwan forever as a twin
And on the mainland, two regimes:
Its own and one where money teems.

However, both can’t co-exist.
The latter rots the former’s will.
A member Bo Xilai’s dismissed
For having both hands in the till.
His wife’s charged as a murderess
While sneaking money out (best guess).

Perhaps to help support their son
Who drove a Porsche 'round Harvard Yard,
A Brit, alleged the sneak’s, undone
And communism’s further scarred
For not distributing the wealth
But concentrating it by stealth.

And millions like them in the pink,
An open nouveau upper class.
Would ever Marx or Mao think
Such riches such proles might amass?
In history books they missed the gist:
Chinese choose cash, hand over fist.
