I wonder what the Russians think
When viewing tortured Syrian tots.
Or if the Chinese ever blink
At mutilated babes on cots.
Iranians, wince when they glance
At dead kids in the ambulance?
Their leaders all support the rule
Of Bashar Assad, pedo-goon,
Beyond imagination cruel,
Their reasons easy to impugn.
For instance, Moscow sells him arms,
Uncaring of how much it harms.
Since Russia’s Putin knows he wields
Enormous sway, I wish he’d pose:
The kids their soldiers use as shields,
If one of mine were one of those,
Would I feel any less inclined
And maybe part of humankind?
