A True Choice

If a certain Galilean preacher,
Held by some as God, by some a prophet,
Walked the Earth again, once more a teacher,
This, I hope, is what he’d want to posit:

Given: God is good and war is evil.
Item: In his name militias slaughter.
Ergo: God’s a fake and not a marvel.
Therefore: Christian tenets hold no water?

Wrong! My credo, in its third millennium,
Often captive of a sophist prison,
Says to love each other. These, ad Deum,
Words of mine this day again have risen.
