No Debating the Facts

I cannot conjure anyone
Who loved the GOP debate
Much more than he who’ll likely run
Against a half-baked candidate.
At least from what he’s seen till now
Barack Obama must think Wow!

His auto bailout, Romney called
A waste of money. What a load!
GM and Chrysler, badly mauled,
Have paid back half the billions owed
And saved Detroit. Trust if you can!
His dad once governed Michigan.

And Michele Bachmann, rising star,
To save our wealth would only say,
To have a national jobs bazaar
We simply close the EPA.
Santorum trodding suchlike soil,
Said kill new health care, drill for oil.

He also said—which history lacks—
The view for which they've shared renown:
Don’t think of a progressive tax;
From rich folks cash will trickle down.
The rich, though, pocket all they can,
An axiom since time began.
