To foist an ironclad diktat
On North Korea’s populace
(For years bereft beneath the bus)
Might just be mellowing a tad
According to a recent fad:
In place of women’s uniforms
High heels and miniskirts are norms.
And bringing down a concert house,
Is new director, Mickey Mouse.

To some observers’ disbelief
He cashiered daddy’s army chief,
A monster move to get across
Who after half a year is boss.
He shows up with a woman who’s
His wife or girlfriend. What’s the news?
He went to school in Switzerland.
Of deutch, français he got command;
So, rather than his unlit streets
How ’bout cafés, bäckereien sweets?

He’s also liked to guzzle beer,
And Michael Jordan made him cheer.
Jean-Claude Van Damme he loved to see,
And just as much he loved to ski.
So what are chances he’ll unroll
A million-member ski patrol
From decommissioned Army ranks
And snowcats made from salvaged tanks?
With U.S. kids he used to hang.
Perhaps he’ll liberate Pyongyang!
