Pants Ablaze?

You likely showed a creditor
Back tax returns to get a loan.
As to how many years before?
They stay within the comfort zone
Of, no doubt, who would take the chance—
Or not—of whether to finance.

Such routine matters, might you judge,
A candidate for president
Strategically would not begrudge?
(George Romney didn’t circumvent,
While candidate in ’68,
Releasing taxes twelve years late,)

Son Mitt, though, won’t go back so far
When, if still at Bain Capital,
He outsourced work, which now would tar
An aspirant who’s quick to tell:
Within the U.S. by the gobs
His chief goal’s generating jobs.

Not long ago some prep-school friends
Recalled they held a gay guy down
For Mitt to chop some bleach-blond ends,
Perhaps, he said, to which I frown.
Who could such shamelessness forget?
He lied then.  Does he do so yet?
